Christopher J. Loughran, CPA

Chris established a home at Perkins in early 2000, after 10 years of diversified tax responsibilities (with a couple of years of audit thrown in just for fun) at the firm formerly known as Price Waterhouse (PwC) and 7 additional years in corporate tax in private industry at two large companies in the Portland area. Chris knows plenty about corporate taxation, including mergers and acquisitions work, transactional planning, FAS 109, IRS and state audits, and state taxes. Chris has an array of experience with the mainstay of Perkins' clients, which are smaller to midsize private businesses, and their owners and related S corporation, LLC, partnership, individual issues that form the core of the service to these clients.

Chris oversees the tax group at Perkins in his spare time (which he enjoys) when he is not serving his clients (which he enjoys even more). Chris reportedly was a fairly athletic type in his youth, and still attempts to be competitive, at least in golf, and takes the same mindset of doing your personal best into providing service to his clients.

Chris graduated from the College of William & Mary in 1982, adding to the long line of distinguished graduates since 1683, including Thomas Jefferson and The Daily Show's Jon Stewart.
