Daniel P. Monaghan, Jr., CPA

It's no wonder Dan was awarded one of Vancouver Business Journal's Accomplished Under 40 in 2005; he's a talented and busy guy! After attending Western Washington University, he hit the ground running and found Perkins his place to call home. As a Senior Manager in the tax department and a leader of the firm's Wealth Management Practice Group, Dan focuses on working with high net worth individuals, professional service companies, and manufacturing and distribution entities. He's also tapped into Portland's vast brewery industry. Dealing with the specific needs of this practice group goes down easy for Dan. In addition, he plays a large role in one of Perkins' most innovative practice groups, creative services. Somehow, Dan also finds the time to be involved in the community, currently serving on the Greater Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Finance Committee and the board of directors of Young Audiences of Oregon and Southwest Washington.

Dan handles all that responsibility in addition to co-managing four kids with his wife - talk about a multi-tasker. In keeping with his always-on-the-move mantra, we're lucky to have Dan as co-captain of our Hood to Coast team, especially since he's a Portland Marathon veteran. In his remaining downtime, he spends weekends in Seattle, rooting for his favorite teams, the Seahawks and Mariners.
